Petra Nemcova In Stéphane Rolland Couture – TWC Oscar After Party

By admin on May 19th, 2012

Paz Vega wasn’t the only star to wear a look from the Stéphane Rolland Spring 2012 Couture collection, as Petra Nemcova did too.

The model was striking several fierce poses on the red carpet at Oscar parties across town wearing this hot jersey one sleeve gown with a keyhole detail.

Her gown features the designers’ trademark gold-plated copper ring belts which she complemented with gold accessories.

A high ponytail and cat-eyes completed her look.

Who Wore Pencey Better? Leighton Meester or Amanda Bynes

By admin on May 19th, 2012

Back in April 2008 a less edgy Leighton Meester wore an olive and nude Pencey Cummerbund Dress to the premiere of “Killer Movie” at The 2008 Tribeca Film Festival.

It was very early in her red carpet days and she was still very much trying to find her style, as her dress was paired with white pumps.

Amanda Bynes aka ‘The Queen of LBD’s” wore the same dress in black when she walked the red carpet at the “Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Female Dinner” in LA.

LBD – check
Black pumps – check
Black clutch – check

The only surprising thing here is that she’s not wearing Herve Leger.

Leighton wins of course, no question.

You can buy the black version fromn Shopbop.com for $333.

‘Be Extraordinary’ Billboard Unveiling – Jennifer Lopez In Emilio Pucci

By admin on May 17th, 2012

As part of Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s (BGCA) BE GREAT youth advocacy campaign, Jennifer Lopez unveiled a new billboard featuring her childhood picture and the inspirational message – BE EXTRAORDINARY in New York City this morning.

The star had a smile which could light up Times Square as she helped to increase public awareness about the serious issues facing young people.

She looked pretty great herself wearing an Emilio Pucci Resort 2010 dress.

The strapless multi-coloured sequined dress paired with purple suede Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ pumps may have been a bit too much for a morning event, but we are talking the diva that is Jennifer Lopez.

Her hubby Marc Anthony was there to support his wife who looked beautiful with straight honey locks.

For those who are keeping score that’s 3 celebs who have worn Pucci looks in 2 days.

Who Wore Roberto Cavalli Better? Roxane Mesquida or Taraji P. Henson

By admin on May 17th, 2012

French actress Roxane Mesquida was one of the many guests invited to the grand opening of a Roberto Cavalli’s Paris boutique during Paris Fashion Week back in March.

She wore part French maid, part Chinese porcelain black and white strapless printed Roberto Cavalli Spring 2009 bustier dress with black pumps.

Actress Taraji P. Henson wore the same dress to the 2009 MTV Movie Awards in California, with black slingbacks.

Taraji wins this for me as I prefer her slingbacks to Roxane’s heavier pumps, plus Taraji dress is shorter in both the bodice and skirt making it more playful.

Leelee Sobieski In Jil Sander – 2012 Tribeca Film Festival Vanity Fair Party

By admin on May 16th, 2012

Leelee Sobieski opted for a clean, pure white look whilst attending the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival Vanity Fair Party in New York City, which was held at the State Supreme Courthouse last night and also attended by Dakota Fanning.

Wearing a Jil Sander Spring 2012 dress, she is a picture of elegance.

Her simple v-neck dress, which could be considered as a minimalist wedding gown, was styled with the same slicked-back hairdo presented on the runway.

The only difference between the runway and Leelee’s look is that the actress opted for a deep pink lip colour to complete her look.

You can buy Leelee’s Jil Sander dress from Net-A-Porter.com.

All The Pretty Horses

By admin on May 16th, 2012

Sydney-born designer Jordon Askill has cut his teeth with some impressive mentors: He interned for Alexander McQueen, designed for Ksubi, then apprenticed at Dior Homme for a three-year spell, winning a clutch of awards along the way. Now he’s branched out on his own with a whimsical line of jewelry that includes a sculpture or two thrown in for good measure. Fitting then, that the equally whimsical Dover Street Market, as well as Paris’ one-and-only goth couturier, Rick Owens, will stock Askill’s work, starting during each city’s respective fashion week. On offer will be rings, pendants, and cuffs shaped like altar-boy faces, soaring birds, and gothic roses. And specifically for Dover Street Market, Askill has created a one-off sculpture of horses galloping in an archlike shape, aptly entitled the Horse Wave, that calls to mind the Ten Commandments scene where the Egyptian army’s horses get swept up during the parting of the Red Sea. Biblical, slightly weird, and very fresh, don’t expect it to stay in stock long, as a throng of devout fashion pilgrims will certainly be heading to Dover Street Market this week to snap up finds like this.

Sarah Jessica Parker In Prabal Gurung – ‘I Don’t Know How She Does It’ Melbourne Premiere

By admin on May 15th, 2012

Sarah Jessica Parker took to the red carpet this evening in Melbourne, Australia for the premiere of her latest movie, ‘I Don’t Know How She Does It’ following her luncheon earlier in the day. the day.

Earlier this summer SJP wore several looks by Prabal Gurung.

She started her love affair in Moscow, before moving onto London, New York and once again for Fashion’s Night Out, so it’s not a surprise to see her wearing a look from the designer’s latest Spring 2012 collection.

Her violet paint-drip woven fil coupe lame dress with an accordion pleated skirt is accented with a black waistband.

SJP complemented the waistband with Pierre Hardy ankle-strap heels and a rather scary looking Christian Louboutin ‘Marquise’ clutch.

Her spiked clutch surely grabs my attention, but I think it was a tad unnecessary as the dress speaks for itself and the clutch feels gimmicky.

Pixie Lott For InStyle UK January 2010

By admin on May 14th, 2012

InStyle UK’s cover girl for January 2010 is Pixie Lott.

Those of you outside the UK may not have heard of Pixie Lott.

She’s an 18 years old singer who’s as well known for her catchy tunes, as her love for  hot pants, messy hair, smoky eyes and lots of accessories.

We’re jealous that she always manages to wear those hot pants so well, without looking trashy.

In her editorial she wears the same Stella McCartney jumpsuit worn by Stella and Victoria Beckham, but there are no hot pants in sight.

In her interview she discusses her style, her reported crush on Russell Brand, and not having much to draw on when it comes to love songs.

On making it in the industry: “The X Factor’s great for people like Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke because they start with a massive fan base. But I think it’s better to work your way up. If you get somewhere, you feel like you’ve really done the hard work to get there.”

2010 Met Costume Institute Gala Red Carpet – Stella McCartney, Liv Tyler & Kate Hudson In Stella McCartney

By admin on May 14th, 2012

Stella McCartney walked the red carpet with 2 of her Angels from last year – Kate Bosworth was the 3rd angel but has jumped ship tonight.

Stella wore a black one-sleeved satin mullet dress modified from her Fall 2010 collection with black strappy sandals.

Liv Tyler’s look was two Fall 2010 runway looks in one.

She wore a black mullet organza dress over a nude burgundy embroidered dress from the Fall 2010 runway.

Fred Leighton jewels and black peep-toes completed her look.

Kate Hudson finally lowered the neckline on her dress wearing an off-the-shoulder Stella McCartney nude gown with a gold sparkling embroidery and a thigh-high split.

Her look was paired with Fred Leighton jewels and a Casadei.

Kate kinda sticks out a bit here.

I guess mullet dresses aren’t her thing.
